뉴질 이민부는 해외학력에 관한 인정법조항을 이민법에 명시해 놓고 있습니다. 가령, 미국에서 공부하고 취득한 학력인데 바로 인정이 될지 여부는 이민부 싸이트에서 찾아보셔야 하지요., 그래서 거기에 그 학교나 그 학교가 속한 그룹 등이 존재하지 않는다면 - 한국의 학력도 마찬가지입니다- 뉴질의 NZQA라는 기관에 해외학력 검증을 의뢰하여 과연 이 나라 학력에 비추어볼때 그 해외학력이 레벨 몇에 속하는지 여부를 심사받아야 하지요.
한국의 전문대 학력의 경우, 보통 레벨 5나 6로 받게 되며, 학사의 경우 거의 레벨 7으로 나옵니다.
NZQA는 학력검증 의뢰 신청서와 관련서류(보통, 졸업/성적 영문증명서와 영문 고교졸업증과 신청서, 신청비...)가 접수되면 크게 2가지 심사를 하게됩니다.
학력의 위조여부와 그 학력의 커리큘럼이 이 나라 학력과 비교해볼때 과연 어느정도의 수준이었는지를 평가하지요. 보통 이 심사기간은 현재로선 3개월정도가 평균인데 경우에 따라 단축, 연장되기도 합니다.

여기에서 South Korea 를 누르시면 44개 이상의 학교명이 나옵니다. 거기에 속하지 않은 학력소지자는 NZQA의 학력검증을 받아야만 이민부에서 그 학력을 인정하게 됩니다. 그 학교들은 다음과 같네요.
South Korea
Bachelors degrees requiring 4 or more years of full time study from the following institutions are assessed as occupying Level 7 of the Register and will therefore qualify for 50 points.
Masters degrees and PhDs from the following institutions are assessed as occupying Level 9 or 10 of the Register and will therefore qualify for 55 points, provided the holder of the qualification also obtained their undergraduate (Bachelors) degree from an institution included on the List of Qualifications Exempt from Assessment. If the Masters degree is not preceded by an undergraduate degree from an institution included on the List of Qualifications Exempt from Assessment, it is assessed as occupying Level 7 of the Register and will therefore qualify for 50 points.
